The ‘dark one’

Everyone knows that NaNoWriMo is really all about procrastination. I’ve discovered that I’m really good at putting things off to do, well, other things. Like making posts on my blog, for instance.

I should be trying to finish my NaNoWriMo project. It’s not going well. It’s going bad.

Anyway, as I’m experiencing a lull in NaNo-ing, I thought I’d finally publish my dark story, “Fall from Grace“. Special thanks to the extraordinary Elem, who did an amazing job of beta-ing. I’ve made quite a few changes to this story since I got it back from Elem and I just didn’t have the heart to send this monster back to her, so, if there are mistakes, they’re all mine.

I was SO happy to find that you posted your long awaited ‘dark story’. I love the title “Fall From Grace” also! I just happened to check your website last night right before I went to bed, and I was so excited that I stayed up for an extra hour just so I could skim over your story. But tonight I was able to really read it, and I love the story so far. I really loved the “drunken Janeway”. That was funny! Plus the way that she spoke to Admiral Hester in the corridor:
    “I’ll have your pips, Janeway.”
    “Have you lost yours, Sir?”
That was great! I can’t wait to read more! I would read more tonight, but I have to get ready for company tomorrow for Thanksgiving. So I’m hoping to read more before I stay up all night to finish the story.
Thanks for finally submitting the story, and I’m looking forward to reading more very soon.

I just finished reading your latest story, and I LOVED IT!! I have a cat myself, and he loves paper, too. So that was fun to read. My family left this morning and I couldn’t wait to get off of work to come home and finish reading your story. You did a great job, and I can hardly wait for the next one!!

Loved this story, as I have loved all of your others. The way you write Janeway is right on, IMHO. Hope your NaNoWriMo is going well.
