I finished something else!

Woot!

I managed to get done a sequel to “Having Her Cake“, called, not surprisingly, “Eating It Too“. It has a more J/C bent and no Janeway family member, or ship, dies! Again!

A big thank you to Elem for the beta. What a difference she has made to my stories!

Getting something finished so quickly, relatively speaking, makes me very happy. Especially as I’m still struggling to get a couple of other stories finished. They’re close, and yet so far.

At last

Yes, I finally finished something. The story was for the “Slice of Life” challenge but is a bit late (three weeks past the deadline type late), but hey… “Having Her Cake” is only short, about 1,000 words and concerns Janeway’s attempts to resume a normal life in the AQ.

I’ve got another story about 90% finished but I’m struggling a bit with the ending (what’s new) and is yet another ‘after they get home’ one. I’ve got a one track mind, obviously.

Where has the time gone?

But the real question is, why have I still not finished anything?

At the moment, I’ve got about five or six stories in various states of disrepair. One is fairly close to completion but I just can’t find that hook or angle to finish it off.

I’ve also become entranced with the idea of a challenge story. That’s due by 1st June and as I haven’t really even started, that’s quite a challenge!

Life is just so busy that I haven’t been able to find the time for just sitting down and writing. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.

There’s good news and bad news

The good news is, well, I’ve started another story. The bad news is, I’ve started another story and I haven’t done anything with the other two that are partially done.

With one I just can’t think of a way to resolve the story and with the other, I think I may’ve painted myself into a corner. I’ll have to stand here and wait until it dries before there’s anything I can do.

The new one? Well, that’s a bit…weird. So far, it starts out fun, has a dramatic bit, and then carries on being fun. Again though…the ending?

Phhhhht. I haven’t a clue.
