Short attention span

At last I feel I’m getting somewhere. I’ve had “the dark story” beta’d and it’s back with me now to beat out the bits that don’t make sense (lots of them), but I’m in the home straight. What on earth did I do before I had a beta?

Another story, which I sort of wrote as a response to a challenge (somewhere on VAMB) has been sent for beta’ing and I’m currently jotting down notes (while still fixing up the dark’un) for another story. From yet another challenge at VAMB.

NaNoWriMoThere’s nearly three weeks to go until NaNoWriMo, but as yet, I haven’t got even an inkling of what to do. Perhaps my latest outline/challenge story may suffice. Although I doubt it.

Faster than a speeding…snail

I’m very close to finishing my latest story. This is good (and surprising) because I’d like to have a clean slate to start on NaNoWriMo in November. Hopefully, I’ll get it to beta stage within a week or two, which is almost a record for me. I had thought it’d be months before I was even close.

Pounding away

JottingzStill working away on “the dark story” (not the working title). It’s a little less dark now, which is good, because it was starting to depress me. It’s about the only thing I’m working on at the moment but it’s still growing in size. That I haven’t got a proper ending for it hasn’t got me panic struck yet, but I’m sure it will soon.

I’m also trying to think about a story line to use for this year’s NaNoWriMo. I haven’t decided whether I’ll do a Voyager story or try my hand at original fiction. There’s still two months to go, but I’d like to do a bit of outlining or planning before the start date.

The “technical department” have also changed my theme again. I like this one very much, but it doesn’t do wide pages like the other one. The jury is still out.

Working and…working

I’ve been very busy lately, and I haven’t got as much done on my dark story as I would’ve liked. I have, however, think I’ve overcome some of the nastier plot holes, so I’m much happier now. It’s also becoming quite long, which isn’t particularly a problem, but I keep surprising myself about what is ending up in it. Once I’ve got a believable ending, I’ll be happier still.

Badge of Honor was thankfully quite well received, even though I didn’t get all the bits of work in it that I originally wanted. It’s always hard to know what to leave in and what to take out. But, it is fun.

Although the new look site is easier on the eye than the gray one, I’m not sure that I’m 100% happy with it. I might ask the ever-more put upon technical dept to keep looking for another template thingy. Or maybe give me the old one back. I really liked that dark one.
