Well, I’ve started. More with a whimper than a bang. After about, oh, four paragraphs, I realized that my story was going to be completely different to the one that I’ve outlined (gee, I’m so glad that I spent time preparing). Oh well, not to worry. With a bit of luck, the new one coming out of my head will work.

Less than two days to go
Until the start of NaNoWriMo. Oh-oh.
I thought I was ready but now I’m not so sure. The outline I’ve made seems a little inadequate for 50,000 words but we shall see. Maybe in the next 48 hours or so, I’ll be struck with the 50K inspiration stick. Let’s hope so, anyway.
I’d hoped to finish “the dark story” before I launch into NaNoWriMo, but now I’m not sure that it’ll be finished. The ending is a bit lame (a large bit), so hopefully, something will occur to me to fix it.
Fingers crossed!
Checkmate? Well that was clever…
Or not. I am now completely convinced that coming up with titles for fics is actually the hardest part of the process.
Anyway, I’ve published my latest story, Checkmate (yeah, I know) and I’m now trying to get rid of the other story to clear the decks for NaNoWriMo. Again, a huge thank you to Elem for doing such a wonderful job of betaing my story. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
Short attention span
At last I feel I’m getting somewhere. I’ve had “the dark story” beta’d and it’s back with me now to beat out the bits that don’t make sense (lots of them), but I’m in the home straight. What on earth did I do before I had a beta?
Another story, which I sort of wrote as a response to a challenge (somewhere on VAMB) has been sent for beta’ing and I’m currently jotting down notes (while still fixing up the dark’un) for another story. From yet another challenge at VAMB.
There’s nearly three weeks to go until NaNoWriMo, but as yet, I haven’t got even an inkling of what to do. Perhaps my latest outline/challenge story may suffice. Although I doubt it.
