Almost total non-action

It’s very frustrating, but I haven’t made any progress on any of my stories in the last four weeks, or so. I’ve been so busy with RL, that all of my jottings have been ignored. Phhhft.

I do hope to get back to a bit of relaxing writing, especially with Easter coming up. Maybe on the weekend.

Procrastination and BLTS

I’ve found a whole new way to avoid working on my current unfinished stories. Revisit and revise my old ones.

This has been prompted by a request to post my stories on the Better Living through TrekSmut (BLTS) site.  Even though my stories aren’t “smut” really, the site posts all types of Trek stories. So, after some emailing between me and anneinchicago, I’ve taken to going back and re-editing and hopefully soon, some of the larger howlers in Bookends, Milk Run and Baby on Board will be fixed. Let me say that it is ‘weird as’ reading my stuff after all this time.

I wasn’t surprised by the amount of mistakes in say, Bookends. That sucker almost drove me to drink. First I obliterated the whole second part, then when it was redone (albeit completely differently to the original) I had a technological meltdown trying to post it to fanfiction.net (which I no longer really use). Talk about trauma.

Anyway, once they’re done, I’ll redo the googlepages versions and the versions here, but I’m not sure about fanfiction.net. I just don’t know if it’s worth the trouble.

I’m hoping this will all give me a fresh outlook when I return to my current works in progress. I’m stuck with both and just can’t make them work.

Still working

And still working on stories. Just not enough hours in the day.

Have the remains of my NaNoWriMo story almost done, I just need to find an ‘angle’ for the opening and a nice resolution (resolutions being most important in J/C’dom). Also working on a fluffier piece that has the same problem i.e. no start or finish. The middles are fine though.

I’ve made a few edits to Checkmate, which I’ll update online as soon as I rouse myself.

Fallen off the end of the world

Well, not really. A whole bunch of real life just happened.

Christmas giftMy NaNoWriMo didn’t happen. The real life thing intruded into my efforts around the middle of November and I didn’t really recover. The novel idea didn’t go well (despite the planning I’d done) and it’ll probably turn into two, maybe three shorter stories.

Merry Christmas everyone. See you in the 2008.
